Company Development History
Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Baosteel Desheng”) was established in 2005, formerly known as Fujian Desheng Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. The company’s development has undergone several key phases:

Founding and Breakthrough (2005-2009): In 2009, the company built a complete stainless steel production line encompassing sintering, blast furnace, steelmaking and continuous casting, 1150mm hot rolling, and 1150mm solution treatment. Its groundbreaking achievement was the successful use of low-cost lateritic nickel ore resources to directly produce stainless steel, effectively reducing production cost dependence on the volatile international nickel price and significantly enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic stainless steel industry.

Restructuring and Expansion (Post-2011): In 2011, the former Baosteel Group restructured Fujian Desheng Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. and renamed it Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. Subsequently, the company continued to advance the balancing, completion, and technological upgrading of its existing production lines, successively constructing a 1250mm DRAPL cold rolling line and a 1250mm HRAPL pickling line, achieving comprehensive upgrades and improvements in process equipment, energy conservation, environmental protection, and fire safety facilities.

Integration and Upgrading (2021-Present): In 2021, China Baowu (developed from the former Baosteel Group), based on the overall strategic planning of its stainless steel business, decided to entrust the management of Baosteel Desheng to TISCO Group. Consequently, Baosteel Desheng became a key stainless steel production base under the “One Headquarters, Multiple Bases” management model of China Baowu TISCO Group, and a crucial part of its coastal and riverside strategic layout. In 2022, as a key component of the Baosteel Desheng Premium Stainless Steel Green Industrial Base, Phase I projects—including the 360㎡ sintering machine, 2500m³ blast furnace, steelmaking and continuous casting, 1780mm hot rolling, and 1600mm pickling lines—were fully completed and put into operation, strongly propelling the development of the stainless steel industry to a higher level.
